xps 13 ultrabook integrated webcam and unknown USB device alert 43

Hi,

I have a problem with my integrated webcam and unknown USB device error alert.

After warranty monitor replacing integrated webcam doesn't appear on device manager and do not work. I have tried to reinstall drivers even whole windows and nothing helps.

Please let me know if there is something that I can do to make the webcam work, or it is just defective part that I had installed by dell technician.

The unknown device error appearing all the time could be webcam but I am not sure.

Thanks in advance for all the replies.

kosti88,

Make a system restore point.

Start, control panel, device manager, Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

Uninstall all the USB Root Hubs, then restart your computer. When you login, the new hardware wizard will reinstall everything. See if the webcam works.

Thank you for your answer.

I did what you said but unfortunately it didn't help.

Webcam do not work and the USB device alert is still appearing.
