How Do I Replace The Plastic Cover of My Inspiron 5100?

I have a large crack near the hinge and my replacement cover came in.  Can anyone give me a step-by-step method of replacing the case?  I've tried it twice but with little success.  I don't want to break anything.  Thanks in advance.
