Which DW5811e card for Latitude 7285?

Jump to solution

Looking to add a WWAN card to my 7285 but on ebay/amazon there are several DW5811e cards with different part numbers (3MDGK, 3P10Y, 1DPXG) and revisions (A00, A01, A02). Can anyone advise on which card is suitable for the 7285? The manual doesn't give any part number beyond DW5811e. Thanks.

If you go to the Dell website for your location, there will be a sidebar labelled "call or chat"

Select your preferred option and they'll be able to advise on availibility.

Thanks

The best answer to this would come from your WWAN service provider -- you need to ensure whatever you do buy is supported by the network operator to which you're subscribed .

Thanks for the reply. Most of the listings I came across actually do not list the frequencies the card they are selling supports apart from 1 or 2 but its more than likely it will work globally according to the band specs but its potential hardware incompatibility I'm asking about across the different part numbers and versions.

From our parts list, the only DW5811E specifically mentioned for the Latitude 7285 has the part number 27F80. I hope this helps.

Alasdair-R, thanks for the info. Where can I order that part? Searching for that number on the US & UK (since you're based there) sites doesn't give any results, neither does a web search. Thanks.
