Drive an external 4K display at 60 Hz using the XPS 13 9350
Hej,
I just want straight answers from everyone who has achieved to run a 4K (4096/3840x2160) display at a refresh rate of 60 Hz using his/her Dell XPS 13 9350 running Linux.
Please post your
- Software setup, e.g., Linux version, Xorg driver version
- Specific parameters you needed to get it working
- The used display
- The used adapter as well as the cable between the adapter and the display, if any

Well, if anyone was wondering, it seems there is a bug in the Intel drivers kernel code. I wrote a bug report, which also contains a patch which should go upstream any time soon.
By applying the above patch I was able to drive my external monitor with 4k at 60 Hz.
