DELL INSPIRION MINI RECOMMENDATION

I have a Inspirion Mini that once had Windows 7 Starter but no more, long story.  Want to install Linux but not sure what to download.  It would have to be installed from USB or external hard drive since the computer does not have cd or dvd. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Computer is Dell Inspirion Mini 1011. CPU N270.

Hey again

I was the one who replied to your other post. As I said my experience on Linux is fairly limited.

However to get you started:

The .iso download link for UBUNTU is Here (select 32 bit). Follow the instructions for creating a bootable UBUNTU USB.

Insert the bootable USB flash stick. Power down your computer. Hold F12 while powering up your computer (at the Dell BIOs screen).

Select boot from USB respectively.

Follow the on screen instructions to install.

Hopefully you will get other opinions of more experienced Linux users...
