Need driver for dell 968 for a linux ubuntu 9.4 machine
I recently changed my OS from windows media center edition to linux ubuntu 9.4. Now my dell 968 (not wireless...hooks up w/ a usb) does not work. I need a driver for linux for this machine. PLEASE???? The computer is a dell xps 410.

If Dell doesn't have a linux driver for it and it isn't detected automatically I would suggest trying to figure out what the actual manufacturer/model is and seeing if THEY have a driver for it or if other people were able to get it working in linux. Dell doesn't make their own printers, they just take other models and put their branding on them. I THINK most Dell printers are made by Lexmark so that might be a place to start.

I know it is a lexmark rebranded but not sure which one... I will try lexmark.

They have macintosh .dmg drivers and then the windows drivers up on lexmark site. Any way to use the .dmg mac drivers on linux?
