Venue 8 3830---Cannot connect to pc, USB icon does not appear
When you connect the tablet to a pc a USB icon is supposed to appear and you are supposed to be able to transfer files back and forth between devices.
No such icon appears on my tablet. I have selected the Media Device option.
Any suggestions?

Try connecting to your pc disabling usb debugging mode.hope it works

Make sure you have windows media player 10 or above and mtp driver installed correctly.

Which driver works for MTP? In Portable Devices I have the Dell Venue 8 3830, but MTP device have yellow icon and error 28: could not find the driver - and I have installed usb driver from SDK, edited the .inf file according to the device ID - and it can't be still recognized...

Thank you for this quick response - I will try your suggestion tomorrow and let you know how it went. My dell device is fully updated, I hope it isn't an issue that the updated android is on board.

Without USB debugging the MTP icon dissapeared and can connect the Dell to my windows without problems. I'm not worried now. Big thanks one more time.
