DDM for macOS tip, enable/disable PBP via shortcuts menu/key
I created an automation using the macOS Shortcuts app to easily enable and disable Picture-by-Picture (dual input, split screen). A first requirement is that your monitor needs to support PBP, a second is that you need to find out the exact command that allows you to enable or disable PBP. If you are lucky, the command I use also works for your monitor. If it doesn't work, play around with the terminal to find the command that works for you. If you can't find the command online, ask around in this forum by creating a new discussion.
These Shortcuts will be added as a new item in your menu bar (look for the Shortcuts icon), alternatively you can enable or disable PBP by using a keystroke combination of ⌃⌘D or ⌃⌘S respectively (think of 'D' as in 'Dual' and 'S' as in 'Single').
Click the links below and add these shortcuts to macOS:
PS:
- This works for both Intel and Apple Silicon architectures
- Yes, it does take a long time before you see something happening (please report this)

Hello @piejanssens,
Thank you for sharing but I'm having issues to download your shortcuts on a mac. If I click on one of your link "Enable PBP", then click on "Get Shortcut" it redirects me to this appstore url...
Can you share a screen capture of your shortcuts scripts? Thanks!
