Dell ST2410 Monitor with HDMI connection
Hi - First posting to a Dell Blog...
.I set up my new Dell XPS Desktop with its Dell ST2410 monitor as a second monitor ( an older Dell 2407WFP is my primary monitor).
Using a VGA connection to the ST2410, all is ok with the monitor..
.but ..if I try using and HDMI cable, the monitor does not receive a signal.
What gives?

Are you using one video card or two?
What specific video card model and ports does it have?
Remove the 2407 from the troubleshooting. Connect the ST2410 via HDMI as the only Primary monitor. Does it work?
Then, shut down all. Connect the 2407WFP via VGA as Primary, boot into Windows and then add the ST2410 via HDMI as Secondary. Does it work?
Then, shut down all. Connect the 2407WFP via DVI as Primary, boot into Windows and then add the ST2410 via HDMI as Secondary. Does it work?
