Monitor MST/DP1.2 Daisy Chaining cannot be done with HDMI, DVI, or VGA
A video card with HDMI, DVI, or VGA out ports cannot do a MST/DP1.2 Daisy Chain. The video card must have a DP (DisplayPort) out or mDP (Mini-DisplayPort) out port. Below are the four connection scenarios =
Video Card mDP out --> mDP to DP cable --> #1 monitor DP in (MST/DisplayPort 1.2 Enabled)
#1 monitor DP out --> DP to mDP cable --> #2 monitor mDP in (MST/DisplayPort 1.2 Disabled)
Video Card mDP out --> mDP to DP cable --> #1 monitor DP in (MST/DisplayPort 1.2 Enabled)
#1 monitor DP out --> DP to DP cable --> #2 monitor DP in (MST/DisplayPort 1.2 Disabled)
Video Card DP out --> DP to DP cable --> #1 monitor DP in (MST/DisplayPort 1.2 Enabled)
#1 monitor DP out --> DP to DP cable --> #2 monitor DP in (MST/DisplayPort 1.2 Disabled)
Video Card DP out --> DP to mDP cable --> #1 monitor mDP in (MST/DisplayPort 1.2 Enabled)
#1 monitor DP out --> DP to mDP cable --> #2 monitor mDP in (MST/DisplayPort 1.2 Disabled)
