P2419H, speaker through USB?

I have a Dell P2419Hb. Will I get a sound if I plug my speaker in one of the USB ports of the monitor?

Any and all help will be appreciated.

@mark1010  It depends.  Does your speaker support receiving audio over USB or does it only draw power from USB and rely on receiving audio through something like an aux-in jack?  If it supports receiving actual audio over USB, then you can plug it into a USB port on the display, but you would then also have to run a USB cable from the display to the source device in order to have a USB data path all the way from the source device to the speaker.  The display will not extract an HDMI/DP audio signal and send that out via USB.  And lastly, the source device would actually have to support USB audio.  Windows and macOS certainly would, but if you're using a gaming console or something, that likely would not.  At that point, you'd just select that speaker as your audio output device, as opposed to your device's internal audio chipset or your display audio.
