Replacement 2408WFP having the same issues as the original

I had my original 2408WFP replaced as it was experiencing a vertical line of pixels from top to bottom and had the power on issues where it would go from sleep to on for minutes on end. Now my replacement is having the same vertical lines and has always had the power on issue. I am still under extended warranty and contacted customer care only to be sent to technical support (which requires a service tag that this monitor does not have). 

I'm hoping I can have this issue resolved here and to exchange this for a different model as this particular one is plagued with issues no matter what the revision.
