S2417DG, BurnIn mode, random colors #6
When I turn my monitor off and back on again it enters the "burn-in" mode that flashes red green and blue. Once it detects it's connected to a computer it works again but resets all of the settings. I tried disabling the "Burn In Pattern" and "Factory Menu" options in the little grey menu that can be opened by pressing the button to the left of the power button but it doesn't fix it, just resets it as soon as I turn it off and back on again. I've tried to factory reset it through the normal menu but it doesn't solve the problem. Is there a way for me to fix this or is the monitor broken? It is still under warranty.

The only workaround is to disable BurnIn in the FSM (Factory Service Menu). The fact that yours keep returning to burn-in on, means it is faulty. You could simply turn the S2417DG off when not in use rather than allowing PSM (Power Save Mode) to start. The replacement will be R/U (refurbished/used) =
The R/U monitor could have any of the following and still be acceptable to Dell, meaning that you will not get to exchange it =
* Cosmetic issues on stand, monitor bezel, etc. that do not effect panel performance
* Less than 6 stuck dark pixels
* R/U monitors do not ship with any cables nor are they in the original box
* R/U monitors service tag may be from a different region which is why you do not see it on your regions Dell website. The original warranty period end date remains the same
