Shipping dates on 2709 monitors

I ordered one of these on October 1st, and was given an estimated shipping date of October 10th. When I go to the site to check order status, it still gives the same 10 October estimate ship date, and still says that the monitor is still in production. Is there a way to get a good ship date, since if it's going to be a significant delay, I might want to cancell my order.
