U2415 - The system has detected a link failure and cannot set the requested resolution and refresh rate

I've gone through 3 AMD driver versions with this computer and still get some slightly wonky behavior. Sometimes when coming back from 15 minute monitor auto-shut off Windows has a hard time setting the displays correctly and my icons move all over, very frustrating. I *suspect* thats a windows issue though.

I noticed a few driver versions ago the error message in the AMD control settings "The system has detected a link failure and cannot set the requested resolution and refresh rate" . Does anyone know if these two issues are related? Is there any way to get this error to go away?

DP 1.2 is set to disabled.
