Watermarks on screen

I just bought this Dell Inspirion 15R laptop. I noticed right away watermark etches on the screen going up and down spaced evenly out across the screen. I thought it was me from touch screen use, but I cleaned with microfiber cloth fingerprints gone but still this watermark (jail cell looking) appears. I give it a mist with my breath and you can see it very well. Is this a defect?? I bought this brand new out the box!!!! Will I have problems with it down the road?
