AFTD error
HI,
We have networker 7.6.0 build 148 installed on 32bit windows 2003 SP2 server.
Client is 7.5 SP3
This server is attached to Clariion CX4 and we do a backup to disk.
A 1T LUN is presented to the server.
I've used diskpart to set the alignment
DISKPART> create partition primary align=64
DiskPart succeeded in creating the specified partition.
DISKPART> list partition
Partition ### Type Size Offset
------------- ---------------- ------- -------
* Partition 1 Primary 1183 GB 64 KB
then I assign a drive letter to the disk
Then format the disk to NTFS > default unit allocation
Go to networker create a device for AFTD > lable and mount the device > verify the path to AFTD
Now when I try to backup the save set I get

The disk partition formate is Master boot record. Can someone please advise. Thanks

Hi Tejas,
Does this folder work outside of NetWorker? You could try transferring files to this folder and see if it works. If it does, try transferring the data after logging in as the same user as NetWorker is using (to test if this could be permission related). Try creating a text file in there and writing to it. These tests should at least give a clue as to what level the problem is happening at.

It look like to be an issue with credentials / permission. Check if you can write files to this filesystem.

Thanks for your reply and suggestions...
The folder works outside netwoker. I use robocopy and can copy files from physical server to the vm to mirror the data.
But netwoker does not backup the data from the vm.......

Hi Tejas,
There could be a communication problem in there somewhere. You should check that the firewall is letting everything through that it should. You should also check the Windows Event logs for an indication of what could be causing the problem. These are kinda shots in the dark though. You should probably open a Service Request with support to have a full look at your configuration and check the relevant logs.
