Cloning DD2500 with NetWorker over FC fails
Hi community,
i have two DD2500 with DDOS 6.0.1 and a NetWorker Server 8.2.4.2 running on a SLES11 SP4 Linux.
Both DD's are in the same network-area. First DD ist for backup and restore, second DD is for redundancy.
The first DD is replicated on the second DD. To get an easier recovery in case of the first DD is down, the NetWorker server should be cloning the SaveSets automatically after each SaveSet completion.
Unfortunatelly NetWorker server and clients are in an other network area than the DDs, that's why i couldn't save, recover and clone over ethernet. For this reason the NetWorker server is a storage node for the clients connected by fibre channel to both DDs.
Backup to the first DD works very well. But the cloning after save set completion to the second DD fails.
Nevertheless some SaveSets are cloned to the second DD, even though NetWorker server reports that cloning failed.

I have no idea, why NetWorker server can't clone the SaveSets.

I don't see failure in this part which you posted. If you go to /nsr/logs/sg/ you will find file for each operation... normally cloning log is last one per day (you can use ls -ltra and check last file if group is idle now) and check if there is more information inside.

Thx for your answer. I just solved the problem.
There was a bug in NetWorker version 8.2.4.2 with cloning over fibre channel.
After updating NetWorker to 8.2.4.5, all my problems are fixed.
