Directed recover with NSR ORA 4.2 Solaris 9

Hello!

Is it possible to recover a Oracle backup using NSR-ORA to another client?
If so how does it work?

Yes, it is possible. You need to configure the module on the other server. In the recovery script, you would need to enter the name of the client to which the database originally belonged. Some configurations may be required in TNSnames.ora etc. You can take help from your RMAN expert on this.

Could you please tell me which requirements have to be fulfilled?
We are backing up and restore DBs with NSR-ORA only without RMAN!

Know you a guideline for doing this to download?

NSR-ORA? That sounds as Siemens-Fujitsu module to me. You will need to use nsrora_recover for that and for -c parameter you will use original client. At least I think so - I never really worked with that module at such extent. With EMC module it is much easier as you would use RMAN and simply call duplicate... not sure how it works here (if it works in the first place). Try FSC forum.
