Job is writing on only 1 Drive , rest drives are ideal - Why???

Dear All,

I observed that the one of the JOB is writing on only one drive.

Rest two drives are still iDeal!!!

This perticular job is having Number of Save Sets of 5 Different Servers.

What will be the wrong in configuration.

Networker Version : 7.5

It could be that your target sessions are configured that way (or pool parallelism if you're using it).

Make sure the pool it uses has any drive restrictions. If the pool is set to use only one particular drive then it will use that drive only.

Check your server parallelism on the server properties.

More on Parallelism.
Remember that paralellism settings are available at almost every aspect of the Networker Config, Server, Group, Client, Drives (Target Sessions), and Pool.
You Need to check all these.
Pools can be configured to be serviced by specific drives, Check that NO drive allocations are made on the Pool options.

While the job is running check the number of sessions it has open. To use a second, or more Drives the number of active sessions must exceed the number of Target Sessions set on the drive.
Example
Job with 10 Sessions, 2 Drives with Target Sessions of 4.
First 4 sessions will go to drive1, then the next 4 will go to drive 2. Since the Traget sessions of both drives are now full, the last 2 sessions will be spread evenly across the drives, resulting in 5 sessions each.

The Networker Performance Tuning Guide has detailed info on Parallelism and related settings
