NMC not working after install
I'm in the process of configuring all new backup hardware and the latest version of networker. I just installed Networker 7.6.2 on a 2008r2 server and everything went fine. I installed NMC and when i try to launch the management console I recieve the logon, I logon with administrator, administrator and get the following error message "Problem contacting server "server_name" connection refused:connect" It appears something is being blocked or something isn't setup correctly. Please help. They are both installed on the same server.

Hi Matt,
Make sure you dont have multiple versions of java installed and the version is 1.6 update 26 or lower.

Are they on separate servers, NMC and Networker Server, if so did you add the following on the Networker Server
nsraddadmin -u "user=SYSTEM, host=console_host"
nsraddadmin -u "user=administrator, host=console_host"

Be sure to check also that the NMC services are up and running on the NMC server. Be careful of java versions also as detailed here: http://solutions.emc.com/EMCSolutionView.asp?id=esg125257&usertype=C
