Networker Management Console does not list tape library
I have installed Networker 9 on windows server 2012R2, I try to add physical libraries( Fujitsu Eternus LT20):
zoning is well done, drivers installed.
The tape drives are recognized and the OS can "see" the devices (inquire cmd).
I have this results:
1. on the product environment: jbconfig command returns this error" "scsi command MODE_SENSE failed"
NMC says "error communicating to library because no serial number returned" and "cannot be auto configured it may be claimed by another device"
2. I tryed in my lab environement by jbconfig it says "All the Jukeboxes that are connected are already configured.
No new jukeboxes are found on host .."
on Networker8 I don't have this issue.
something missing..any help?
Regards.

- If there is no serial number available/assigned, you cannot detect that from the GUI but must use jbconfig.
- If the jukebox has been detected, it must be configured first before you can delete it.
- If ther is a jukebox already present, you must delete it if you want to detect and/or reconfigure it.
What does 'inquire' say? - run it on the host which controls the robot. And share the result, please.

I forgot to mention that the same or equivalent seems to apply for the erternus hardware. A kind of driver is obviously missing.

The library is visible as a SCSI device but it has no device name assigned.
If it is Windows compatible, you should see something like "\\.\changer0" which is not the case.
Especially STK libraries are ACSLS driven. My guess is that you do not have this software installed (ATK Library Manager).
See https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19323-01/en/MT9112/MT9112.pdf
for details.

Hello,
I verified the compatibity and drivers with Fujitsu and microsoft team support and all is well.
I still have the problem.

are there two libraries connected to the same server?
Your output shows two autochangers....does a simple scan of devices shows up library on NetWorker?

we have Data Domain vtl and two fujitsu tape libraries.
a scan or an attempt to configure libraries on Networker shows only the Data domain VTL
