Networker Save Set Restore returns no error - but message with 0 Files restored
Here is the situation
Exchange 2003 server was removed - and the client deleted
Now have to restore to a different location the MSEXCH save set
Opened the Networker GUI NMC - Version 7.1 Sp1
Make sure the required tapes are loaded
Create new client
Alias the new client to the old exchange server name
Open the Networker User GUI
Options
Restore Save set
Find Save set
Ensure volumes are available
Restore Options - redirect to e:\temp
Recovering Files of Client 'client' from server 'Networker'
Total estimate disk space needed for recover is 285GB (E:\ has 3.5 TB free)
Recovering 78 files within / into e:\temp
Network NCM shows tape being read
Runs for about an hour - then
Recieved 0 matching files from NSR server
Tried this with 3 different save sets on 3 different tapes
Tried this with Full BU and Incremental save sets
Also Tried the DOS command = recover -d e:\temp -s server -S 123456789
Same return = recieved ) matching files fro NSR server
What am I doing incorrect?

Hi Saleen,
You cannot do a recovery of the saveset "MSEXCH:" using "recover" command. This backup is done using NetWorker module for microsoft Exchange server with the binary nsrxchv and should be recoverd using a NME on another Exchange server using the NME GUI or the command nsrxchrc. You can refer the NME admin guide for detail on how to run the recovery.
Hope this Helped.
