Yes, it should work fine. The error you get is indicates symbolic link on target machine is not done. Can you check?

DBA said they have done that symbolink link but still seeing the same error...
% cd $ORACLE_HOME/lib
% ln -s /usr/lib/libnwora.so libobk.so
Is the above cmd still valid..
Also, NDMA is only supported on NW761 backup server/client. Right ?

Link should be as instructed in installation guide. Can you verify its existence? NMDA can be used with earlier editions too.

I found this from installation for Linux
% cd $ORACLE_HOME/lib
% ln -s /usr/lib/libnsrora.so libobk.so
It is bit different with the previous one.. I will get DBA to try again..

We have tried that and it still could not work..So we uninstalled the NDMA 1.1 on the destination server and installed with NMO4.5. Restore is working now.. Thanks for your help and advice..

It is a bit scary if you ask me. What happens if you make RMAN archive using NMO and after some time you want to restore it? If this is the case with NMO and NMDA records not being compatible, I would strongly suggest to open a support case.
