Poor performance on NetWorker/Data Domain
Hello guys!
I have a Data Domain DD2200 with two interfaces 8Gb/s FC and four 1GbE interfaces. I am using NetWorker 8.2.1.5 to back up my file system, 3TB.
My performace reach only 115Mb/s and my backup takes 21 hours to finish.
NetWorker parameters:
Client Direct: checked
Data Domain backup: checked
Data Domain interface: Fibre Channel
Parallism: 5
Phisical Client parallism: checked
Parallel save save save streams per set: Checked
Save session distribution: max session
On Data Domain DDBOOST-FC shows the correct number of connections.
I don't know what can be wrong, I have tried several configurations without sucess.
Can someone help me?
Thank you!
Regards
Anderson

Have you compared it to DDBoost-IP?

I don't know what could be the reason for your problem, but maybe the bigasm directive could help you to investigate the problem. Using bigasm, the backup performance can be tested without disc access on the NetWorker client:

Hi Anderson.Clayton ,
The 3TB data that you are referring to is it on the backup system or on a different machine? If on a different client machine is the DD device configured to a storage node on this machine ? Please let provide more details on the connectivity and backup route for this 3 TB data.

I changed to IP interface and now the performance is 300MB/s - 600MB/s .
Thank you for all answers!!!
