Redirected MSSQL-Restore

Hi,

Source-Host: SOURCE

Source Instance (MSSQL): ORIGIN

backup-Server: NSRSERVERHOST

destionation DB-Host: DESTINATION

destinating instance: COPY

I've several backups & also continously backed up DB-Logs of Instance ORIGIN.

Now I've started to "copy by restore" of Instance ORIGIN towards nstance COPY (Hots DESTINATION) but after applying some logs it failed.

Now since restore has been aborted, Instance COPY is in recovery mode and I'd like to manually restore some missing logs (by given a point-in-time value)

of Instance ORIGIN towards host DESTINATION and apply them on instance COPY.

Is it possible anf how's the syntax? I find no clue inside the admin-manual...

I'm not sure if this is possible especially since same error will return again.  I think you should focus on what original error really was and address that.  Once that is done you can drop COPY and do copy-restore again.  The thing is that the sequence has to be such that you do restore of logs with NORECOVERY statement until the last log which you restore with RECOVERY (or in your case you would call DB restore with RECOVERY).  If something is missing then you must check why it is missing exactly and address that first.
