Saveset "All" fails
Hi
Strange problem
- Red Hat 5.8
- Networker 7.6.3.1-1
When using saveset "All" the backup fails with:
7184: savefs: nothing to save
When using specified savesets the backup succeeds
When trying probe, it displays messages like this:
7198: savefs: Path / by default belongs to and NOT to .
Trying probe from client gives the following result:
# savefs –s -vpn
77592: savefs: ‘NSR client’ resource named ‘localhost’ not found.
7185: savefs: cannot retrieve client information.
Any ideas ?
Thanks

Thank you, will check.
Additional info:
The NSR Peer information seems wrong.
It lists the old backupserver as 'name' and 'peer hostname' the old backupserver is no longer configured in nsrdb, and has not been for several years.
In fact the old backupserver was removed before this client was installed.
If we delete the NSR Peer Information, new is created when we try backup with the same outdated info.
Also, the NSRLA information lists 'host=localhost'.
And we get these in the log:
Conflicting NSR Peer information detected for host ‘localhost’

Looks like you have a name resolution issue; check configuration of client to ensure it has all aliases listed and verify that hosts/DNS are resolving all names and IPs correctly (it looks like this client is being resolved somewhere to localhost which suggests there is a mistake in the hosts file)

Hi,
Try using individual directories or path's in each line needed to be backed up instead of All.
Example:
C:\
D:\
or
/
/boot
/var
I have seen this before and everytime using individual savesets work

Hi
We have found that when listing the NSRLA info on the client it lists "name:localhost"
