Connecting SAN to Dell PowerConnect 6248

Our master switch in our network is the Dell PowerConnect 6248. This switch has an SFP module.

I was wondering if I could use this module to connect my SAN [activeRAID 32TB storage from active-storage]  to it and have access to the storage array as a network drive or NAS.

To be more specific I'll be connecting the controller [HBA] from the SAN  to the SFP module on the Dell PC 624 via Fibre Channel cable LC.

I'm new to configuring SAN and looking for the best solution to access the storage on my network.

Has anyone set up a SAN with the SFP Module before; if so what does your set up look like?

Fibre channel and ethernet/IP are not compatible protocols without some other device that can translate. The 6248 does not have FCoE support. There are switches that support both, usually these are called converged or unified network switches, though typically the traffic is still separated.
