How to configure Failover between PC6624

Hi,

I have 2 Dell PC 6224. I have connected Uplinks from Access switches to both the switches.

I want to setup failover, so that if one switch fails other will take over the control.

How can I achieve this without Stacking?

Regards

Hi,

Why can’t you stack them? That is the best way to do failover. You may be able to set a primary route with a lower metric value than the other route and if it goes down it will look for the other one. Page 583 of the manual explains how metric value works. ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_powerconnect/powerconnect-6248_User%27s%20Guide2_en-us.pdf
