N3048 RSPAN overhead impact

We have a stack of N3048 that we use for our core, and are looking at gaining some insight into the traffic on the network.  all our Server / client traffic resides in a single VLAN.  I started doing some research, and I believe that RSPAN may be the way to go.  I was looking through the documentation for any guidance on overhead performance issues if we enable this, but can't find any information.  Are there any "gotchas" I need to be aware of when setting up RSPAN?  Does this have an impact on the performance of the switch itself?  Thanks in advance!

Hi,

RSPAN is resource intensive, it could affect performance, but it depends on how much traffic is going through the switch. You may want to turn it on during non peak hours and use show process cpu to see how much it is using.
