N4000 DRIVER[unitMgrTask]: schan.c SER Parity Check Error
Hi there, we have a N4000 Stack running and found this message in the logs: DRIVER[unitMgrTask]: ser.c(4655) 221017 %% CLEAR_RESTORE: MY_STATION_TCAM[5793] blk: ipipe0 index: 274 : [0][0] <187 DRIVER[unitMgrTask]: ser.c(4276) 221016 %% SER_CORRECTION: reg/mem:5793 btype:6 sblk:0 at:0 stage:0 addr:0x00000000 port: 0 index: 274 <187> DRIVER[unitMgrTask]: schan.c(1106) 221015 %% SER Parity Check Error. <187> DRIVER[unitMgrTask]: mem.c(4979) 221014 %% MY_STATION_TCAM.ipipe0 failed(NAK) Shall we take any steps. Is this critical? any help is mostly wanted best wishes

Hi,
As a single error I wouldn’t worry about it the error correction on the memory did what it is supposed to do. You may want to update the switch firmware. If the error continues it may be a hardware issue.

Hi Josh thanks for your quick response.
Since our SAN Storage is connected to the Stack a firmware update is a bite complicated.
There isnt a way to update and or reboot the switches in the stack separatly?

There is not a way to update without rebooting the whole stack. You could just monitor it and see if there are any more errors.

Hi Josh,
thanks. Maybe this could be a good point for a change request: Feature to reboot stack memebrs separatly to avoid outage of the connected redundance systems? Could you address this or can i address this to the firmware team?
