PC 5324 - Recovery onto new switch

Hi

We run a bunch of 5324's and have a few as spares in case of hardware failures etc. We also run them with the redundent PSU options. We backp the configs often by taking a copy of a show running-config. Is there anyway to take the contents of a show running-config and put this onto a new switch quickly for recovery purposes? If not what is the best config backup/restore method for these switches?

The best method would be to use the "copy" command to copy the running-configuration from the production 5324 to a TFTP server. You could then configure the spare switch with a temporary IP address and use the "copy" command to copy the configuration file to the startup-configuration. Once the spare switch is rebooted, it will boot to the new configuration.
