PowerConnect 6248 Switch, routing with Vlans
Not sure why my last post was rejected???
Hey guys and gals. Got a spare hammer? A 6248 is about to meet its demise.... Here's my issue. I'm using this at home to create a new network. My router is 192.168.101.1. My 6248 is 192.168.101.18 on Vlan 3. I can access the WEB UI and ping this address. I am trying to now add a VLAN 2 with IP 192.168.102.1 for network 192.168.102.0/24. I need this to route out through eth 1/g1 and be accessible from other parts of the 192.168.101.x network. I know I am probably missing something simple on this but just can't sort it - current config is below, and and all assistance is greatly appreciated! Also - I cannot ping the VLAN 2 interface on or off the switch, nor can I ping a host connected to 1/g7 statically assigned to 192.168.102.50

Hi,
Looks like that other poster was spam that got through the filter.
What is 1/g1 connecting to? Is it another switch or is it a client device? If it is another switch it may be better to have it in trunk mode so it passes tagged packets instead of untagged.

1/g1 connects to a cable modem currently.
