Switch Trunking and Access

I'm a relative newbie to configuring these switches and I have a question-

I'm connecting a 5324 (satellite) to a 6248(main).  I want to maintain vlan tagging between the two, so I connected a single cable from one to the other and configured it to be a trunk.

However, I can't ping the 5324 anymore when plugged in to the 6248.  Do I need to plug in another cable for management access?

Thanks.

Now that you have changed the port over to the trunk it will only pass tagged packets. Have you added any vlans (mainly your management one you are pinging from) to the trunk?
