Dell 6024 VRRP for 2 direct ISP uplinks

Hi guys,

I'm trying to setup 2 6024 for some GW failover on a public ISP connection.

I have a public /29 which I have attached to a LAG where VRRP is on this lag. This is the subnet where my /25 is routed over.

I also have a public /25 which is on a vlan where the VRRP is set on this vlan.

Now the failover for the vlan works OK, I use this also on other cases, even without a source ip this works great when you create a lacp between between both switches.

But for my /29 on the port-channel it's more complex. This one does failover but I'm not sure about my route in this case. I have a 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 ISP.virtual.GW.IP on both switches where one of the two has the virtual IP on my side. When I do a failover the back stays initializing after it, it does become master when I failover again.

Does this work on public IP's ? and do I need a lacp betwee both switches to make sure they can communicate ?

Some info is welcome!

Thanks.
