Dell Inspiron 1737 Wireless setup
I have a DSL connection and i am trying to get the Wifi button to work on the side but it doesn't respond. Is there a way I can fix this? My computer tells me that I may not have the right drivers or wireless networking hardware whenever I try to find a wireless network.

Fiffle,
When you installed the operatign system, did you install the notebook system utility and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order That is why I don't see your wireless adapter.
Go to Drivers & Downloadsin the left column, near the bottom, click on warranty status, enter your service tag, then click on original configuration. There you can see which network adapter is installed.

Fiffle,
The switch on the side slides to turn the wifi on/off. Te push button is only the wifi catcher.
Places to look to see if Connection is enabled

Fiffle,
Go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag number. Under applications, download and install Dell QuickSet.

Is there any reason that I can't see the Customized by Dell tab?

Fiffle,
Did you try going to start, control panel, windows mobility center. Click on the Launh Radio in the WiFi Catcher,
You then should see...
Click on advanced settings. You should then see...
If your settings match the above, then you should see networks.
