Help with Outlook Express 6

If this is in the wrong place, please let me know... I was torn between putting it under Internet or under Software.

A friend of mine tried to send a picture to someone else in Outlook Express. Unfortunately, the picture is HUGE and she didn't do anything to reduce the file size and now her outbox is constipated! Every time she opens OE and tries to get her email, that same message tries to send and then locks everything up so she winds up having to do a Ctrl-Alt-Del to get out of it... She tries to delete it but it goes into "sending" mode too fast for her to do it.

Any advice? She just wants to get rid of the doggone thing so she can use her email again. And yes, I have admonished her about too-big attachment files, and reducing file sizes and/or using a compression software app!

Have her choose Work Offline on the File menu in OE. Then she should delete the bloated email from the Outbox and uncheck work offline. Sometimes you must close and reopen OE after choosing work offline.
