New Dell 15 2in 1 laptop crashes router

Have had TP Link wireless router for two years. No problems. I got son new Dell laptop for Christmas. About every 30 minutes, it crashes router and router needs reset. This is unacceptable for a new Dell computer. Need help. If new laptop is off and not connected to WiFi everything is fine, but once Dell laptop is introduced into the network, router crashes after 30 minutes. That’s a heck of a cyber weapon. I now wonder if it would crash other unsecured networks at malls and airports. This is not good. Please please help.

Hi winrod,

Thanks for posting.

Apologies that your router is not working as it should with your new Dell computer

Have you been able to test the computer on another network?  Like at a friends? Your work? A coffee shop? etc.  How about a wifi hot spot?  Your post doesn't indicate if you've tried a network other than the home one?  Also, what happens when the computer is plugged into the ethernet cable?  Test these and post back.  Thanks.
