Studio 1747 no wireless or BT
Hi
I have no wireless or BT.
I have checked bios settings - BT, WWAN, WLAN & 1394 are all enabled.
In 'Radio Control Options'. 'All radios' is ticked. WiFi is ticked. WPAN & Mobile Broadband are greyed out.
Fn + F2 does not work, F2 ditto. I have followed all advice I have found on this forum. My card is 1397 WLAN mini-card.
Control panel say card working properly, driver is up to date & "NO sensors are installed"
Search - Bttray is not found
Help please

Can you run Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID and REGISTERED OWNER, if using XP, run an ipconfig /all log and post it back here.
What virus program and firewall are you using?

Download and install Dell QuickSet Application
Places to look to see if your Connection is enabled
Make a system restore point.
Download the Dell Wireless WLAN 1397 Half MiniCard (4312bg), Wireless WLAN 1510 Half MiniCard (4322), Dell Wireless 1397, 1510 Half MiniCard, v.5.10.38.26 (Driver), A23 and save them to your desktop.
Start, control panel, device manager, network adapters, right click on Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card, left click uninstall. Tell it to remove the software and drivers.
Restart your computer. When you login, the new hardware wizard will try to install the adapter, but fail. Install the drivers you saved to your desktop. Install the drivers in the Vista SP2 Compatibility mode
Try these tweaks....
Start, control panel, device manager. Click on Network and then right click on your network adapter, left click properties, power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
Click on Advanced. Look for Antenna Diversity. Chnage the Antenna Diversity from Auto to Aux.
Go to the power options, and changed the Wireless Adapter Setting, from Maximum Power Setting to Maximum Performance.
