Vostro 1510, XP, Reinstall XP and format HD problems

So sorry I posted in the wrong forum

Hello;

I had to recover from a crash by reinstalling XP and reformating the HD. The reinstall went well and all was formated. I am trying to regain my wi fi service but it seems I'm having driver problems. The machine was loaded with XP when ordered and wi fi worked fine. I ran my tag and it says I have "Card, Wireless, Minicard, DW1395 4312BG". I have down loaded and tried all of the four drivers offered to no avail (one at a time of course). I downloaded the files from another machine to a jump drive and moved the file to the desktop on my machine as directed. All goes well till I get a "Operating system is not supported. Software will not be installed" Setup Error.

Any suggestions? Am I trying the right driver? I am at a loss. I need my wireless to get back to normal.

Someone please help me.

Respectfully

Pete Capach,

Did you install the desktop/notebook utility and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install.
