WIFI problems on Dell xps 15 L521X
I got my Brand new xps 15 yesterday, It works fine, looks great, I'm overall satisfied with it. (even though it gets warm all the time)
Problem is, the WIFI doesn't work well at all, I'm 2 meters from my box right now, And I'm not experiencing any problems, but as soon as I get upstairs in my bedroom, my signal speed drops significantly, I can't even load a youtube video, I was downloading a game from steam yesterday, and the dl speed dropped to 6mb/s!! That's awful, If this problem can't be fixed, I'll be returning mine, and won't buy any other Dell product, I don't see how a laptop that pricey can have that kind of problems. ( because I heard I wasn't the only one, a lot of people have the same problem)
Anyways, if any of you have a solution to fix my problem (Like a Bios), I'd be really grateful.
Thanks !
(sorry for my english, I'm french)

I can not download it from Dell driver update site. Anyone has a link with the driver that is working?
I would like to try it to see if there is any better.

I know I searched, when you click on compatibility on that driver page it shows:
Systems
Inspiron Desktop 2330
Operating Systems
Microsoft Windows 8 64-bit
I have an XPS 521 with Win 7 64 bit.

Yes, that is the right driver.
Note that the Dell tech performed several configuration settings with the driver that I would not have known to perform.
Here's how my driver is currently configured:
802.11n Channel Width for band 2.4 - Auto
802.11n Channel Width for band 5.2 - Auto
802.11n Mode - Enabled
Ad Hoc Channel 802.11b/g - 11
Ad Hoc QoS Mode - WMM Disabled
Bluetooth AMP - Disabled
Fat Channel Intolerant - Disabled
Mixed Mode Protection - CTS-t0-self Enabled
Preferred Band - 3. Prefer 5.2GHz band
Roaming Aggressiveness - 3. medium
Transmit Power - 3. Medium
Wake on Magic Packet - Enabled
Wake on Pattern Match - Enabled
Wireless Mode - 5. 802.11a/b/g

I am unable to install the "new" driver. My system actually sees it as being older (approximately 2 months) than the one I currently have on my system.
Could anyone who has implemented this "fix" show speedtest results?

I'm unable to download the new drivers for all of the recent updates from Feb. When installing it says its the same version I already have from January. No idea.
