XPS M1530 Problems going wireless

Wireless woes:

I have:

Laptop M1530 XPS with Microsoft Vista Home Premium Operating System

Wireless 1505 Draft. 802.11 n WLAN Mini-card.. and a Linksys Cisco Router (WRT54G2, version 1).

My Cable modem is: Surfboard Model 5100 Internet Cable modem

I’ve made it through each step of the router connection wizard, (have done this more than one time), and have gotten to the point where the Wizard says, “your router has been successfully configured.” Silly me, I think I’m finally wireless. However, when I hover over the wireless icon at the bottom of the screen I get the message: “wireless connection unavailable.” And sure enough, I’m not wireless.

Before asking all of you for help  I read the very first forum article in Network and Connections,(as directed),  but am not sure whether I could solve my problem with any of the solutions listed in the forum article.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Mayjacks

Hi mate this maybe a silly question but have you turn the wireless button on, if not its on the bottom right side and you have to push it up and hopefully this will do it, other than that i don't really know what to suggest.
