ethernet card

I was recently told that i may need a new ethernet card for my desktop.  How do I know what to buy and I'm hoping I can get it at Radio Shack since I have one nearby.  I have a  Dell XPS 210.  Any thoughts?

Refer to the link for the specification of your system:

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/xps210/en/SM_EN/specs.htm#wp1052631

Since your system (XPS 210) only has a PCI-E x16 and PCI-E x1 slots, you can use this for the internal Ethernet card for your system. And since the PCI-E x16 slot is primarily used for graphics card, you can use the PCI-E x1 slot instead. All you need to have is a PCI-E x1 Ethernet card with a low profile bracket since your chassis has teh slim profile.

Installation can be found on this link:
