low wireless speed

I have dell Inspiron n 5010 - core i 5, 6 GB RAM, 640 HDD. So, I have wireless connection, but it is limited to 65 Mb/s with n router.

I tried with drivers changing many times in many options without success.

Please help ! How to increase the speed ?

The other laptops in the same network working at 200 - 300 Mb/s

Thank you

You might want to check which wireless card is installed in your laptop. If it's the DW1501, this is the likely source of your problem. You might want to check out these threads:

and

I'm having the same issue on my N7010. Put simply, the DW1501 is rubbish, and can only achieve 65-72Mb/s however you set it up. It's not designed to go any faster irrespective of how many bands your N router is using (mine is a single band 2.4GHz Netgear router; I can achieve 270-300Mb/s with a Netgear WN111 USB dongle, but only 62-65Mb/s with the internal card). I'm trying to get Dell to supply and fit a card that is suitable for the job, but not having any luck so far.

Hope that helps.

I see we have the same problem.

Answer is here :

There is only one way to resolve this problem : change Card.

I would like to be wrong.
