wireless card for Inspiron E1505

I'm a coffee shop wireless user, and have the original "PC559 Card, Wireless, Minicard, DW1390 Broadcom Corporation" that came with my Inspiron E1505.  I'd like to get something faster, if that is possible, but have no idea what to get as an upgrade.  The Dell site tells me there are no upgrades for my computer.  I'd appreciate any advice, and please take into consideration that I'm an idiot about technical stuff.  Feel free to talk down to me.

Thanks, Nemours

You can upgrade to the Intel 4965 AGN or to the Dell wireless 1500 Draft N. However your speed will still be limited to your ISP, but your speed on your local lan may increase.

Thanks.  I may be looking for the wrong thing, although I do want more speed.  I have two laptops, and the older Compaq with an external card connects great, but my Inspiron E1505 won't stay connected to one particular LAN.  I downloaded the latest driver, but that didn't help.  Is this another problem altogether?
