Misplaced my original Setup CD-ROM/ what to do

My Inspiron 1150 when turned on just shows a black screen.its telling me that system32\DRIVERS\pci.sys are missing or corruptand that i can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD-ROM.I have had this laptop for a few years and have misplaced the Setup CD-ROM. Im new to this site and i was wondering if someone can help me out.

You can try asking Dell for a new copy of the disk here:

http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dellcare/en/backupcd_form?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&redirect=1

But since YOU misplaced the disk, you may not be successful.  You may have to purchae a retail copy of XP from a retailer such as newegg.com or buy.com
