Same problem of not being able to download drivers from the dell "Drivers & Downloads for Inspiron 1525" website. with a twist.

I also can not download any drivers. Difficult to explain, but basically no matter what I do, when I finally download something, it is a file called "DellDriverDownloadManager (1).application." which it downloads to my PC and I save it in the proper "downloads" folder. But when I try opening it, it box to save the file opens again!... so... I save it one more time... but when I try opening just to see what's in there..... guess what?  :)...    yes, a vicious circle.

I find this whole thing very weird, if it helps I could make a movie of the issue.

Any ideas? anyone?
