I have access to resources that you don't.

Said resources are not free.

Dell no longer has a parts page with the components in a spreadsheet for all models available to the public.

Hi @speedstep,

Can you expand on your first statement?  By any chance do you have an excel spreadsheet with models and part numbers that you created over the years?

I cannot expand on that and I cannot share the parts sheet.

@DELL-Chris M  may have an answer to that.

I would be more than happy to upload files like that if Dell allows it.

I doubt they will though.  They seem to be killing off the old stuff including the downloads.dell.com site being gone.

Dell allowed me access to that information because I had certifications to do warranty repairs for Dell and HP and Sun etc.

We pay $250000 a year per person for an onsite Dell engineer  24 x 7 x 365  4 hour response time. That means 6 people work 3 shifts aka there is primary and alternate person for each 8 hour shift.

I'm in management now so I don't get to do any field service work anymore. I still have access to an on site dell service engineer as well as records and documentation that goes back to 1985  PC’s Limited Turbo PC IBM clones. My computer knowledge goes as far back as Altair 8085 CPM machines and AT&T system 5 as well as Apple II from 1977.

before even dos existed I used VMS, IBM System 360, Vax 11780, DEC. Sun. Xerox.  Unix Xenix CPM etc.  MSDOS was compiled and developed on INTELIntellec machines. In 1973-75 Intel Corporation released five Intellec series Microcomputer Development Systems (MDS) for its 4004, 4040, 8008 and 8085 CPUs: the Intellec 4, Intellec 4/40, Intellec 8, Intellec 8/80, and Intellec MDS. The Intellec 4 (imm 4-40A)

doesnt have parts for models that are End of Life End of Support.

Standard System Design Life Cycle for a Dell is 5 years max.

Does Dell only want their PC's to last 5 yrs., or is it simply EOL support?
