Dell Optiplex 7050 Micro Wifi 6

I am just curious what Wifi Card kit I should get to be able to have this desktop run off of Wifi 6 modem/router.

Just received an updated Xfinity router which is Wifi 6 and they claim that the reason my speed went from like 700MB to like 100MB is because the card inside cannot handle the Wifi 6.

Thanks for any help that can be given!

"Xfinity" Comcast Cable throttles the internet.
Wifi6 has a new Band 6Ghz.

The 802.11 AX. standard is now referred to as Wi-Fi 6 or the 6th generation of Wi-Fi and operates the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.

Wi-Fi 6E operates in the 6 GHz frequency band.

You are only as fast as your slowest connection.

They will never be as fast as FIOS because the more they oversell the cable in your area the slower your connection gets.

So even directly wired to your cable internet the speed will be slow compared to FIOS.

Run a  BING speed test

DO NOT POST YOUR IP Address here.

Even 802.11AC does not go thru walls well.

This is what I get in the basement with FIOS WIFI Router in the attic.

Its also why I was very happy to give Comcast the Boot.

I also only pay for Internet.

No triple play nonsense.

Phone and TV are on different providers (not cable or fios)  and  I use over the air TV signals as well.

Wifi6: 802.11ax:

Wi-Fi 6 also known as “AX WiFi" or "802.11ax WiFi” builds and improves on the current 802.11ac WiFi standard.

it is correct your current wireless card in 7050 does not support WiFi6.

I managed to get Intel AX210NGW M.2 into my Dell OptiPlex 7050 Micro. So far everything works pretty well with Windows 10 Pro (22H2) and newest drivers from Intel (22.190.0.4 for WiFi and 22.190.0.2 for BT). Connected to 5GHz on 802.11ax and getting speed of 1200Mbps.
