Install WIndows XP on Dell Optiplex 745
Hi, A friend of mine purchased a used Dell Optiplex 745 and wants to install Windows XP Professional on it to play some old retro games of theirs. Well we are having a problem where I have a Dell OEM Windows XP Professional ISO from Dell (I created an ISO when I had the disk) and uses Rufud to create a bootable USB. It boots but after it loads the files for setup it goes to a BSOD with the stop error code 7B which means Hard Disk controller. I don't have any blank CD's to burn a CD of the install media and would like to use a Flash Drive for ease of use. How can this be done?

You need to slipstream the SATA drivers to the Windows XP Reinstallation CD. Here's an old guide of mine which takes you through it using nlite:
